C600 Starter Motor

Hi Guys,

Has anyone had any issues with alternator or starter motor on the C600, my scoot has done 30000 kms and when I went to start it up after going to fuel station it would not kick over.
Have taken it to the BMW dealer and they are saying its the starter motor is gone and its gouing to cost $3200 Australian dollars for the part.
Seems a bit excessive considering its 1/3rd of the price of a brand new scooter.
Has anyone out there experienced the same ?

Not here but that quote sounds incredibly high - perhaps just very time consuming to change it out? The motor itself can't be all that expensive, if it is maybe source a used one off a low mileage parts bike. You could try doing the job yourself or take it to an independent shop for a second opinion/quote.
