that sucks, our system is road fund tax and comes with every new vehicle for a year from the date of registration. after that year you can re tax for another year or if over 125cc 6 months or you can SORN (staturate off road notice) in the last year they have changed some of the ruling over the...

    Belt Change Interval?

as piece of mind i would and will change my belt every 12000 miles and i will use a genuine one. had so many bad experiences with either not changing at intervals and i would never use a kevlar belt again. it's a long push home when they let go.

    Looking for sound advice

the 6,000 mile service is basically an oil & filter change anyway so really it is up to you. other checks are tyre pressures, coolant level, brake fluid level (which is changed anyway at 1 year) and check drive chain sag and cover bolt tightness. i rode mine for a complete year and carried out...

Has anyone used Amsoil 100% synthetic motor oil?

i use the specified castrol 15/50, ran all last year and covered 5000 miles without either a topup or change and had absolutely no issues. we are switching to shell this year as this is now BMW's specified oil but tbh, im so happy with the castrol that im staying with it in mine. im booked in...

    Mileage problem

happy new year to you too i have made a promise this year too, to add more miles to baxter and i am feeling slightly guilty as my 600 has not turned a weel sinse i repaired it after having a FIAT 500 smashing into the back end. tbh, with all the rocksalt on our roads at the minute im glad im...

    Horn Button

spot on, glad the problem is sorted. spraying our switches with lubes etc will probably have no effect as it is the printed circuitboards that fail, you would have thought that BMW would have learnt this in the 80's with the old K series clocks!!
