2025 Models in the USA? (and maybe a slight rant...)

That was a great comparison video. Thanks.

2025 Models in the USA? (and maybe a slight rant...)

Does the "rugged" decal easily peel off I wonder?! But otherwise a nice looking design change on the 400.

Are you running a Denali SoundBomb Horn?

No problem. It is likely a little cooler where you are than I (north Texas). It is supposed to be close to 80 today. Rode for a while yesterday in mid 70's.

Are you running a Denali SoundBomb Horn?

So, @davepen where did you end up mounting your mini? How does it sound? Pix would be great!

2025 Models in the USA? (and maybe a slight rant...)

Ha, I have used Eastern Beaver on my last 3 sport touring bikes, an ST1300 and an FJR1300. They make excellent stuff. I even did a video for them documenting my 900GT install for some price consideration! That one was an interim bike between FJRs. Thought I wanted a light bike but did not care...

2025 Models in the USA? (and maybe a slight rant...)

Sorry to hear about the flat. That is always a drag. I like the Kaoko so far, only used it twice for short trips but seems to hold much better than my old clamp-style. And I see you have added some driving lights. I mounted mine for my previous FJR1300 in the same place. Where did you put the...

2025 Models in the USA? (and maybe a slight rant...)

On the Xmax, I change the screen position twice a year; in the summer it is lower (obviously in Texas!0 and then raised up to its highest in winter. Funny, I would never have thought to have folding side mirrors on a bike but sounds like a nice touch. By the same token, I wondered why in hell...

2025 Models in the USA? (and maybe a slight rant...)

We also have a Yamaha scooter, a 300cc Xmax that had listed an 'adjustable' screen which turns out to be, remove the plastic covers, take out the screws and you can reposition the screen up one notch or down. The C650GT however has a true adjustable screen like my previous FJRs and ST1300s...

2025 Models in the USA? (and maybe a slight rant...)

Did I read correctly that in order to get an adjustable windhield one needs to purchase the 'Style Exclusive' package? Sheesh.

Did it, installed Zumo XT! (but have another question)

True, mirrors are 'backwards'. Cheers. Now all I need is for Revzilla to get the item shipped!

Thanks and love that red color!

Did it, installed Zumo XT! (but have another question)

It was miraculous, amazing and altogether fantastical that I figured out how to mount and route my new Garmin GPS to the battery without removing more than the single large side panel. I know, many of you wizardous adventurers have likely already sorted this one out, but I was happy to have...

    C400GT Touring

Some interesting similarities here. My last trip riding my 2019 Yamaha FJR1300 this summer made me (finally) realize it was time to look for a lighter bike. Also a long time former Honda guy, mostly ST1100 and later ST1300s. Had a challenge getting it back onto our trailer (Kendon, we pull...

    Introduction, Hello from Ireland.

Hey Brendan. I thought there might be a few Quigleys in Wexford. And my paternal Grandmother was a Cavanaugh. So definitely some Irish roots I think! Glad to know about the training. I always suggest that to folks I meet who ask about riding. Been through a few different motorcycles myself...

    Introduction, Hello from Ireland.

Welcome aboard. Presumably there is something in Ireland like our Motorcycle Safety Foundation courses here in the States. Highly recommended if available, especially to those new to bikes. How is the CE04? Fun to ride hopefully! Keith Quigley from Texas 2020 C650GT

2020 C650GT oil filter removal! And the mysterious filter screen... Help!

This is what actually worked. Happy it was $15 instead of the specialized, German engineered one from BMW for over $80.

2020 C650GT oil filter removal! And the mysterious filter screen... Help!

Ha, I have done that before on older cars! Not a pleasant experience and once I even tore the oil filter a little before finally getting it off.

2020 C650GT oil filter removal! And the mysterious filter screen... Help!

Oh I hope not, but I stuck a (gloved) finger in and found nothing... damn

Adding power feed for heated clothing

Excellent write up Bill, thanks! Keith Quigley

2020 C650GT oil filter removal! And the mysterious filter screen... Help!

Quiet in here. Was it something I said?! ;) But I was able to find a claw-like filter wrench at the local Auto place for $15 that finally worked great and loosened the filter so I could get it removed, albeit with a few scratches on it. Also found a part on a BMW site that was slightly higher...
