It is the strangest thing. I rode home last week, went to leave again and the key will turn in every direction except to actually start the bike.

It is as if it thinks it is the wrong key for this bike. I’ve tried both keys, it simply will not turn over to ignition.

All the lights come on. It was running perfectly fine.

Please, any thoughts?

This may sound stupid but have you checked the kill switch, if the lights come on you shouldn’t have to turn the key any further. My two previous 2013s and my current 2019 only move one position clockwise from vertical.

Yes the starter button is not the same as starting a car, with the key in the ignition.
Reminds me of how I sometimes just plain forget my debit card's pin code, especially when I consciously try to remember what it is! if I do it 'on instinct' I always get it right.

I feel like such an idiot!

My brother-in law had managed to snag his his tattered jeans on the kickstand. So it wasn’t all the way up…

Remove denin, she starts went up 😇
Well, you know the old saying, “Better to feel like an idiot and have a bike that starts than to feel smart but have a bike that doesn’t run.”

BTW, the kill switch is that stop switch by the throttle grip.
