2016 C650 GT with Voice Activated Garmin Navigation

FYI: The 2016 handlebar centerpiece is perfect for mounting a Garmin GPS suction-cup mount (turned upside down) meant to be used on a typical auto windshield. It holds my (made for a car) GPS tight even on the roughest roads and railroad crossings. When I park, I just pop the GPS out of the holder and lock it under the seat leaving the mount in place. The only thing I needed to do special was to add a little superglue to the ball-joint so it would not rotate while riding. Total cost from the Garmin Outlet Store: $219.00 USD.

The jarring you may experience with a pothole or rough road could prove more than the car holder can handle. The weak points I think could be the suction cup and the holder mechanism for the unit itself. The BMW Nav has a substantial lock down although its also made for off-road.

Good feedback ... that was my exact thought too! So I initially was a little apprehensive about it as well. But not anymore. The only way to test it was to ride with it and hit every pot hole and railway crossing as hard as I could. So I did!
The center surface is as smooth as glass and the suction cup clamps on really tight. You can't pull it off w/o releasing the the thumb clamp lever.
2000 miles+ with it not budging, has proven it is good to go! I'm very impressed with it and it is so much cheaper than the expensive cycle versions. Those with a 2016 GT ... might want to give it a try!

I used glue on one of those car balls and it worked ok, I would use a lanyard also.

I'm also jealous of the voice activation because the BMW Nav doesn't have it.

The unit I bought is the Garmin "LM" (Lifetime Maps updates) LM-2595 with the 5-inch Screen. The neat thing about this GPS and the size is that it fits perfectly on the center-piece w/o looking like an after-thought add-on. It also includes Real-Time Traffic Updates (RTTU). At first, I thought RTTU was kind of bullshit. But it works like a charm! Very Impressive! The "traffic antenna" is located in the power cord and can be seen as a thickness in the cord in the 2nd picture. You can set the "Voice" to any of a number of pre-loaded dialects. I'm a big fan of Iron Man. So I set it to "male British" and named him "Jarvis".
He wakes up and talks to me when he hears the voice command: "Hey Jarvis." Very cool!
Now I just need an Iron Man helmet! ;-)
