2024 OR 2025 Model???

so I was supposed to pick up my 2025 but the dealer called me last night and said it has been delayed briefly BUT they have a new 2024 coming in today and they are offering me an addl 1K of the price for the 2024 due to the delay on the 2025....

so what do y'all think about this, if there big differences between the two models? is there not that much difference that I should get the 24?? is the 24 better for parts/accy's/after market over the 25??? going tomm to look at the 24 and will decide, thanks

I went with the 2024 when I got mine because of the $1000 difference. Figured I could use that for accessories.

That's an interesting question.

The pros on the '25, from what I've read:

- Larger OEM top case, up from 30L to, I think, 43L (a much more useful size).

- Two-position windscreen.

- Larger cubby sizes, I seem to recall.

- Reworked (larger?) underseat storage.

- Optional larger TFT display.

The cons:

- I really like the adjustable-size Shad 59X top case I replaced the 30L with (using the extremely robust OEM rack -- see my gallery, https://billanddot.com/C400GT/, for a lengthy report on this).

- I had two Burgman 650s, for a total of 11 years, and hardly ever played with their electrically positionable windscreens.

- Stated top speed of the '25 is 80mph, vs. 86 for the earlier models (although my GPS tests showed that the actual top speed was 3-4mph faster than stated); this may be important if you do a fair amount of superslab riding in high-speed regions.

That's all that comes to mind.

And I don't think parts availability is much of an issue here. Not sure what you have in mind with that part of the question.

Those lil upgrades on the 25 do make a difference… and the one con of losing 6mph is also a factor as I do twist n go on the interstate… thanks

If they both begin at the same price, and you are only saving 1K, I would get the 2025. I would have AI lay out the difference between both bikes and maybe even ask for an opinion. I have been impressed with how well AI sorts all the information available and then can use that information to sort out recommendations. As you likely know a lot of changes were made in 2025, although very little aftermarket items available. We were seeing 2k discounts in the Bay Area.

Here are my two receipts, for my two (my former '22 and my current '23 C 400 GT) break-in services. They were both performed at Max BMW in Troy, NY; Max is a large dealership, with that location in NY, one in NH, and two in CT. (That $181 on the first one is a credit I had at the shop.)

Yeah, go figure, re the oil, etc.

In years past, I used to always have a dealer do the first service, just to have it completely documented (no photos, personal logs, etc., needed) and to get in their good graces (for possible future warranty claims, for good will, whatever). And then do my own oil changes and so forth, after that.

However, with my '22 purchase, I decided that I was old (77 now) and decrepit enough that I didn't feel like getting greasy, getting down on the floor (and then trying to get up), etc., etc., that I wasn't doing any of that anymore. Thus, starting with my '22 C 400 GT, and continuing with the '23 and my Meteor 350, I've had the dealers do all the work. I still enjoy doing electrical farkles, but that's a hobby ... and can be done standing up.
