Has anyone installed the alarm system themselves on either a C400X or C400GT? I imagine it is quite simple byt BMW goes out of its way to put out any info on anything in attempt to get more money out of their customer, forcing them to get BMW service.

I just bought a c650gt.
Got the alarm module too.
They tell me it doesnt talk to the bike until they program it. 1.5hrs.
I dont know about yours but they are tellong me mine doesnt come with a fob.
So there is no remote access.
Does yours come with remote access?

Strange, you mean your 650 came with an alarm you cannot use? How can it take 1.5 hours to program!!! Sounds like BMW trying to make more money.
Yes, I have the FOB, came with the c400GT here in Thailand. The FOB has the buttons for an alarm. I have the alarm...in my hand, bought it three months ago but still do not know where to install it. I refuse to let BMW here touch the bike. The "mechanics" here cannot even do an oil change right.

Did you ever get this figured out?

I recently installed a CHIGEE module which connects between the alarm module
