BMW not very welcome in Central Illinois

I live in fairly rural IL. There is a powersports dealer here in the town and I purchased a used 2022 C400GT with only 700 miles or so. Turns out they will not service it because they don't do BMW. I have the service manual that I found online but it is hard to follow. I am hoping you folks will help me with DIY service.

I got used to using the BMW service manual and find it to be pretty good. But ask away and I'm sure you will get good assistance here.

I agree. Of four maxi-scooter manuals I've used extensively -- BMW C 650 GT, Suzuki Burgman 650 + 400 and Honda Silver Wing 600 -- BMW is, by far, the most logical, simplest and clearest. I've long had a theory that is partly because the German language is far closer to English than Japanese.

I believe the same theory holds for legroom. The average height of a Japanese man is 5'7. For American men it's 5'9. For Germans it's 5'10, Makes sense that German engineers design their bikes with the average German guy in mind. Same with Japanese engineers. I won't ride a scooter without full leg extension. With Burgmans and Silver Wings, that requires removing the butt rest; I can't even come close to straight legs on those bikes. With the C 650 GT, I can stretch my legs out easily. There's plenty of room.
