brake lights on overrun?

My I3 automatically applies the rear red brake lights on overrun even without operating the brakes.

Does the CE04? I'd have to run behind myself while slowing down to find out.

Yes, depending on how hard you recuperate (if that's what you mean by "overrun").
At least in Dynamic/Eco mode on full recuperation.
Not sure where the threshold is exactly.

To be on the safe side I added Brake Free lights to my helmet and I'm planning on asking my wife to follow me to see if both Brake Free lights and tail lights go on at the same time when i slow down.

They work great and go on before the brake lights do on regenerative braking. A bit of a challenge getting the Sao Paulo with the Brake Free attached in the compartment.

On another note, my left tail light got bent by someone and I'm pissed. Got to get a solution for the US version lights so that they are protected.

Apparently the lights for the S1000R are identical and much cheaper. They only have a shorter wire, so instead of disassembling half the scooter to plug the replacement part in you just cut off the wires off the old one and solder on the new ones.

I usually put the helmet in the topcase anyway, since my emergency charger lives in the helmet compartment, so that would not be an issue.

Been thinking of getting a topcase but prefer the look without. Can you share what you picked? Also by emergency charger do you mean the standard cable that came with the bike?

I have the Shad TR55. I needed a large case as it needs to hold my helmet along with my armor when I leave the bike to go to the office.
And, as it sits above the rear wheel, the lights are not as likely to be clipped when walking by the bike.

Regarding the charger: kind of. The original one is quite bulky and has a thick cable that's way thicker than it needs to be for the 10A it delivers. I use that to charge at home overnight.
So I bought a new Level 1 charger, that can do 15A and has a much smaller brick. With that, I would need to spend only 2/3 of the time the 10A charger would need.

I want to echo the TR55 choice here as I’m running the same. Design fits with the bike (went with Black Edition) and the width helps protect the tail lamps from an accidental graze.

When solo, it holds my modular, airbag, jacket, and gloves with some room to spare. When two-up, it holds both of our modulars.
