The weather was record-setting scorching for the northeast part of the country for this (or actually any) time of the year, so, on a rare no-rain-and-life-didn't-get-in-the-way free day, I headed north to the six-million-acre Adirondack Park region. It was a mere 93° - 98°F during my ride, so I took a lot of Gatorade breaks at assorted pull-offs, etc.
