C650GT service.

Hi all. I have been replacing some broken panels on the scooter, obviously done before I purchased it but with so many fasteners someone’s got bored and just pulled the panels off. Anyway, with the plastic off thought it wise to do a full service. All going well until oil filter removal, it was moving but along with the oil cooler housing. Tried to get some plumbers grips on the housing but failed miserably. So only option was to disconnect the water hoses and go for it, housing water pipes finally stopped the oil cooler tuning and the filter spun off. The hollow bolt holding the cooler was easily removed by hand, it says the torque should be 13 in/pds. I have a feeling the oil filter had not been changed for a while. Second hand oil cooler on its way from Latvia! Anyone else had this problem? Cheers

Not had this problem on my C650 Sport engine which I assume is the same as the GT's? I believe I have changed oil and filter about 4 times in 15K miles but that part always went quite easily.
