Recently bought my 2023 CE-04 with 408 miles on it (USA). At 6’3”, I wanted to get as much seating room as possible without sitting on the hump. My bike has the heated Comfort “Front” seat stock (p/n ending 552 176). I consider the flat bench style seat, but wanted the extra padding and heating of the Comfort line of seats. The Comfort “Rear” (p/n ending 552 187) promises a couple extra inches. At $801 retail from USA dealers it’s just too pricey. So I checked out Europe Moto (bmw.europe-moto.com). Their price was 328.55€ (converts to $381.18…less than half the price). Of course there is shipping and import duties, but those were less than $100. I also ordered the orange Euro screen and the tall clear screen and bracket needed. Shipping was super fast…just over a week.

Attached are pics of both seats, side by side. Also pics of the extra room for my knees (again 6’3” and 36” inseam). It feels significantly better even though only a few extra inches.

Very happy with the upgrade, and with the availability and service from Europe Moto.

I was thinking about the same thing but for $500 I can get it properly upholstered at a local shop, and get rid of the hump entirely. So if it starts to bother me, that's probably what I'll do.
Admittedly, at 6'0" I don't have any issues with my knees.
@grazi, is that knee picture before or after?

Would I need the support rack if I was to switch from high windscreen to the smaller orange one?

I don't think so. Probably just the screws from the old windscreen.
But the question is: why would you? Unless you get bad buffeting from the windscreen, the higher one provides much better wind protection and increases range.

I have also bought parts and accessories from Europe Moto and even with the import duties their prices are better than MSRP in the USA also considering you aren't paying state sales tax..

also considering you aren't paying state sales tax.
Technically you'll need to declare that on your tax return and pay the state sales tax then. Technically.
(They did catch me once when I ordered a $1500 leather motorcycle suit, apparently because it came through customs, which the CE04 parts would do, too. But they just told me to pay the tax and I was done with it).

Just like the look of the orange one but my existing one is great against wind protection. I almost ordered the pro rear seat with orange too but my comfort seat has more padding so I'm keeping it.
