Have you purchased & installed the ECU remap module? Curious if there is a performance increase.https://yourmotoparts.com/product/chip-tuning-for-bmw-motorrad-c-400-x-increase-powe
The primary function of the chip tuning for BMW MOTORRAD C 400 X increase power module is to fine-tune the air-fuel mixture ratio by adjusting the intake air temperature data sent to the ECU (Engine Control Unit). This adjustment allows the ECU to regulate the amount of fuel injected into the engine, ultimately optimizing combustion and enhancing power output.
your welcome
There is a big noticeable difference to power through the whole rev range. More torque and more aggressive acceleration. Just what I wanted. Also slight improvement on fuel consumption if driven sensibly.Have you purchased & installed the ECU remap module? Curious if there is a performance increase.

I TOTALLY agree with your comments regarding SCOTCHLOK connectors. Great way to destroy your wiring harness. My apologies if I come across as a wet blanket here. In general, I'm all for experimentation, but me, personally, I won't be doing this mod, even though it appears to be potentially worthwhile and is certainly inexpensive enough (especially being on sale at the moment).
My concern is that if something happens to the engine -- as a result of the addition of the tuning unit or not -- will a BMW dealer be able to determine that some aftermarket unit had been in use, even if it's now removed? Don't forget, I'm very gun-shy about all this, having had my '22 C 400 GT replaced, free, by BMW-and-or-the-dealer, with a brand new '23 C 400 GT ... because of an engine failure. And this was with no monkey business on my part: no engine fiddling, no drive-train fiddling, etc.
On top of that:
1) Note that "This product is intended for off-road and track use only and may not meet emission compliance standards for public road use."
I don't want to come across as holier-than-thou, so to speak: back in 2009, I replaced the stock exhaust on my '07 Burgman 650 with a Yoshimura system that was similarly designated. Nevertheless, I just thought I'd point out this caveat about the tuner, in case anyone cares, or might have to remove the unit for annual inspections, etc.
2) Those Scotchlok-like connectors -- the red things in the picture at the site -- don't inspire my confidence. IMO those are about the worst electrical connectors you can use, in terms of reliability, butchering wires, and so forth. Skene, for instance, supplies Posi-Taps, as necessary, with their products, and those are a much better system (and I don't even use those, when doing my own, non-vendor, electrical work).
If a potential purchaser is not concerned by any of this, and particularly if you're out of warranty (stock and any extended one), sure, go for it, check it out, have some fun.
Again, with apologies to all, especially @XYZMETA, I'm not knocking this product per se, but rather just providing a counterpoint regarding why I won't be getting one. But that's me.
