Do you adjust and repair your own scooter?

I always have my work done at the dealership. I have no interest, no aptitude, and very little time to do work on my bike or my cars. Have I ever had issues? Of course, we're all human. Would I have had more issues, more aggravation, and less time to play golf if I did the work myself? You betcha.

That isn't to say that a working knowledge of the mechanical side is a bad idea. It's a great idea and even fun stuff for some folks. I even understand some of the technical stuff talked about on this forum and find it very interesting.


OK.....that's not true. I understand zip and appreciate it only to the extent that I enjoy others having a good time getting into it.

Perfection

I have worked with my hands for forty eight years .Cars boats, planes, motorcycles, and industrial machinery. If it's one thing I have learned it's;
A bad day on the bike is better then achieving plus or minus 5 tenths in the shop!! Life is to short to have perfection rule it!

lucky for me, i get paid to work on mine at our dealership it can have it's downside though as customers bikes take priority and i have to wait for a quiet slot.

Well, the good thing is that you know what you are up against, mechanically speaking. And like a lot of folks on his site I imagine you enjoy figuring out some farkle stuff that guys like me can only enjoy from afar.

I remain envious of you guys with the aptitude to do the work to make your bikes special beyond what they already are.
