I’ve been following discussions on a noticeable front end rattle over bumps on my 2023 CE04. It’s been hard to isolate while riding. There’s been mention a few times that one or both of the two mounting tabs may be broken or these upper clips missing. I pulled my front fairing off last night and sure enough one of my tabs was broken and missing the clip. I’m going to get a new piece and try and repair the old one. On reinstall I’m also going to add a layer of sound deadening tape between the fairing and side panels where the plastics meet to further minimize the noise. I’ll post progress along the way.

I've heard from some people that also had a rattling noise, but without anything being broken. I guess I got lucky, mine doesn't rattle.

Thanks for the comments. Update. I did order a new fairing cover and extra clips. Could’ve tried to see if they’d warranty it but I bought used with 400 miles and don’t know what previous owner/dealer may have done.

Knowing a new one is coming, I decided to try a temporary fix on my cover with the broken tab. I super glued a license plate plastic which fits firmly in the rectangular factory cut out. It doesn’t lock in place like the factory clip, but it fits snugly without any movement.

The other mod was to line the contact points of the side fairings with the “loop” side of Velcro. I’ve used it in the past for rattles. It has great adhesive backing and doesn’t decay like foam can. It’s slightly visible with the cover back on, but looks fine with the other parts.

Test rode it and the rattle was gone. I’m pretty sure both the repair and the Velcro made the difference.
