Just 6 on the ago I bought this Garmin unit and before buying my C600. Now I come to mount it and set up power side. Mmmmm - I will use the RAM brake reservoir mount and am not unhappy about that. My challenge comes on the power side. I was hoping to just use the accessory socket when I was on a longer trip rather than the provided hard wire cabling but there is a problem. The USB port on the back of the Zuma is blocked when you put the unit in the provided motorcycle Zuma mount. Has anyone found a way to power a 390LM with the accessory socket in the left box rather than hard wiring it?

It's actually easier to hardwire the GPS on the C scoots. If you remove the handle bar plastic cover you will see a white plug zip locked to the handle bar. This is the switched to ignition accessory power feed. There is also plenty of room to store the cabling and voltage converter in there as well.
If you have used the power cord on another bike, it would be better to by another power cable than to go and route cables from the socket in the glove box.
Just ensure you get the polarity correct.

Thanks for responding. I have as yet not removed the cover at all and while I knew there was a connection in there I assumed it was a proprietary BMW GPS connection only. I will go in there soon and I doubt it will be a problem to test the wiring for polarity, make the connection and get on with this.

Cheers
