High beam going out

Hello all
I have been having a problem with my high beam going out just about every 3 months. I had the dealer change
out the bulb once or twice. I had asked them about this issue 6 months ago. They said if your not
careful with not touching the bulb it will go out. But i think there is another issue?? I had my brother replace the
high beam 3 months ago. FYI my brother has had many motorcycles over the decades n he has worked on
my old SilverWings n now starting to do a bit of work on my BEEMER. Is this a major problem or have you all
had to ch. out the bulbs every 3 months???

I've had to replace my low beam lamp more often than I'd like, within a year last time. But certainly not the high beam as I only very rarely turn that on, it's still the original one I believe. But, if you routinely ride with high beams on then depending on the type of bulbs you buy, I guess it can happen.
Ironically, I have found that the more expensive bulbs tend to burn out much faster than cheaper ones from the same brand. The more expensive ones burn brighter and I suspect that means hotter and shorter. On the packaging in the small print you can find the estimated # of hours they are expected to go; check it next time and buy the one with the longest projected (pun intended) service life.
One check you can do is measure the voltage at the plug the bulb goes into; if for some reason it's too high (e.g. >12.2 volts) then there is some issue with your electrical system and that may be causing the bulbs to burn out so quickly.

Thank you for the info i use the HIGH BEAM during the day so people can see me better. That does sound like a logical answer. On my old Honda Silver Wing scooter i had the HIGH
BEAM was always on but did not burn out nearly as much on the BEEMER. That's probably the answer to my question

When an oncoming motorcycle has its high beam on, all I can see is a blob of light. It's hard to tell how far away it is or how fast it's going. And it's impossible to tell if it's signaling a turn.
IMHO it's a bad idea.

Many motorcycle riders do ride with their high beams on during the day, on the I405 / I5 that my commute is on. I don't because I don't want to tick off car drivers as I lane split. I did order me a set of those yellow auxiliary lights to give me more visibility but those, too, I will only use in the low beam setting. Plus I understand it's generally (in most states) illegal to drive with high beams on all the time.

My brother in law said when we left the BMW dealer on i 10 he could NOT see me with the
low beam on only. I 10 here in Houston gets pretty packed n i have never been asked by
any cagers why i keep my high beam on during the days ONLY,
