if your screen is in the full up position it still buffets terribly. I'm considering the Wunderlicht or Touratech options to get the airflow from the crown of the helmet to over the helmet. Most at 6' or more I'd think would experience the same helmet shaking, noisy buffeting.

That looks like the X-Creen, we have a forum member who had one and took it off. It looks ok to me, but I'm not too keen on drilling holes into my wind screen. The Wunderlicht and Touratech options are easy to switch between bikes without leaving any marks. The laminar lip is good, but currently it's for GT only, although considering it's flexible I'm fairly certain it would fit the sport and not fly off the bike.

Probably not the helmet, although a good helmet is a great investment for a number of reasons.

I put a Givi windshield on mine. It's 4 inches taller and seems to be doing the trick for highway speeds. With that said, I try to stay off the highways, and try to plan my routes for best scenery and roads I haven't traveled before.

I've done riding on 290, 55 and 294 with everything from a Triumph Bonnie to a 250 Vespa. I can tell you that my experience has been meh on all of them. 290 on a smaller set of wheels, like the Vespa, isn't fun. The whole thing is just a wind tunnel, that and I almost killed getting from the ramp over to the right lane. 55 was a better experience. 294, you just need to be aware of the surroundings at all times. I took the Bonnie up to Wisconsin, it was pretty uneventful but then again, I left at 7:30 AM. During the rush hour periods, it can be a harrowing experience.
