How Does the C 650 GT Ride on Gravel?

This might be a silly question but how does the C650GT ride on gravel? I will be purchasing one in early 2019. The reason I ask is that I remember as a child riding a 50cc scooter on gravel. Even though I would ride at low speeds the darn scooter would tip over at some point because the tire had no traction for off road. Obviously, the 650GT is a road bike but sometimes you have no choice. I have no intention of riding the bike on gravel and just curious. Thanks in advance!
 
I ride on gravel roads every day. Have for years...

It rides fine. Just be aware that it will move around a bit and your line will deviate..try not to fight it and all will be well.
 
When I had mine I certainly tried to avoid gravel but I did ride some gravel roads from time to time.

Find the best lines preferably with more packed down gravel and avoid any movements - braking, acceleration and turning, similar to rain as the traction will be reduced and varies greatly depending on the type and size of the gravel.

Best to hold the bars lightly and let the bike and wheels follow the road and don’t fight it or panic. Not the natural reaction but that works best.

C650GT seems to handle about the same as a motorcycle and use the same ideas.

Exactly my thoughts, but you worded it so much better.
 
One of my favorite places is a pull off on a mountain near Medford where you can see most of the vallwy and city. The road is curvy and gravel with S curves. The GT handled the road with aplomb. Just for a test I hit the brakes firmly a couple times on the way down and the bike responded beautifully, no skidding or sliding just slowed down gently.
