I have 1 shock leaking oil

I know this is wear n tear but UHG. I found out a couple of weeks ago that i have a front left shock leaking oil. When i found that
out the next day i went to my dealer to order n pay for the parts $48 for each side.. Today i brought the bike in to the dealer n
the 1 BMW tech is backed up for a couple of days. So the bike will be there for about 5 days or a week. That's $440.00 plus
the parts to rebuild BOTH shocks. Then they also stated that the oil on the front brakes needs to be replaced. That's another
$136.00 for the OEM brake pads OUCH. Should i go with the OEM pads? Or could any of you all share a link from Amazon
for my 2016 C 650 GT ? I do not know IF the premium models are different? I am guessing NOT? Can you all help please?

Are you talking about the front forks leaking oil? A week for service doesnt seem too bad at the start of the summer season. It is a BMW after all so parts are expensive and everybody wants their bike on the road.

There is no oil in the braking system so I'm guessing you are talking about having the brakes bled for a fluid change. It is more of an alcohol base and it is hydroscopic (absorbs water). That is not a hard job to do yourself as long as you get the correct fluid (verify the spec that BMW uses). Germans are usually more anal about having fresh fluid in the brakes. My Mercedes E350 call for fluid flush every two years. Not sure what the requirement is for these scoots, but probably every 4-5 years is not unreasonable. When I did my R1200 a few years ago there was a biological goop in the reservoirs that was probably a result of not doing any flushes for years by the PO. It was easy enough to clean out and replace with fresh fluid and bleed.

Are the pads worn out as well? How many miles on the bike? Having to have the brakes bled does not normally mean having new pads put on as well.

There is fluid i the front forks i saw it with my own eyes. When i came home from vacation. Bike was in
my storage building and where the bikes front wheel was there was fluid coming from the front forks.
They will need to drain the brake fluid as well and rebuild the front forks on both sides.

the vehicle list. I did no see any for the beemer atvs motorcycles n so forth EBC HH series brake pads
for my bike. I do not know how much longer yet the bike will be in the shop. I called my dealer where my bike is n
told them i have NO other vehicle to drive. I was speaking with the service manager. I have been going to
the same dealer for decades ALL Honda scooters. So i will see what happens???

So today i got my bike back from the dealer. They rebuilt the forks BOTH of them. Checked to see IF the fluid had
dripped onto the brake pads. They did not need to be replaced.. Thank GOD for that bill was $474.00 so not
bad at all.
