The noise coming from the front of the motor that has that warble sound is pretty darn loud unless your are cruising very lightly.
I have the Akro exhaust with the baffle removed and its still way louder than that. (The intake noise sounds like a farm tractor, just terrible)

Anyone ever try messing with the plastic intake snorkel to change and/or muffle the sound?

As I understand the idle adjustment for the engine occurs by adjusting a valve inside the airbox, thus restricting airflow into the motor. Fussing with that assembly might take you down a slippery road.

It might purr from the outside looking in.... But sitting on it the intake etc is too loud IMHO .... But then it's only because the wind noise is so well despatched..... Slowly lower the screen at speed and hey presto..... No intake noise.... Just massive wind blast....... I'll take the intake noise all day ha ha

The noise only bothers me pulling away from a stop at a crawl to slow speed. Once the scooter is going 5-10 mph it's fine. After being on a tmax, I like the extra grunt for the most part.

I find the noise louder than I would like. The noise is louder than the four cylinder engine on my K1100LT. It would be nice to find a way to mute it a bit.
