Good morning friends. The OEM heated seat, dark/light gray, on My CE-04 with 1,800 miles, lightly used and garaged, has started to visibly degrade. I've read other similar customer experiences, albeit in Europe.

Does any know how to locate an official manufacturer service bulletin instructing its US authorized dealers to replace under warranty?

If so, could you post or provide a link to get more info, please?

If I may jump in here ...

This is not about a CE-04, and not even about my bike, but you may find this relevant: C 400 GT owner @mzflorida had a problem with the seat, regarding its covering, and his BMW dealer replaced the entire seat, under warranty. You can read a little about it in his post from half a year ago:

So your seat problem (although I'm not clear on what "visibly degrade" encompasses) may be a similar simple warranty claim and replacement.

Good luck.

The seat stitchings on my 2016 C650, by 2020 had started to disintegrate, I figured due to constant UV exposure as it was always parked outside in the marina we lived on our boat. I bought a used one in excellent shape off Ebay, around $100 delivered, and now the bike is garaged 95% of the time so problem solved (I hope). Also recently sourced a good-as-new seat for my 2007 S800ST on Ebay for a bit over $100.
So if BMW does not warrant your seat, a good used one may be an economical option.

Yup. It took forever but they finally were able to replace my seat which was bunching. Everyone agreed it required replacement under warranty. A system issue with tier inventory management software caused the delays. I did, at the request of the dealer who was frustrated, contact BMW corporate. That is what prompted the issue resolution.
