Hi, all. I have just bought a Kaoko cruise control but are have trouble fitting it ! The washer seems to big for the bar end shaft. Washer I/d 22mm shaft size 17mm , any thoughts please ?

I put a kaoko on my CGT and it fit. To be more accurate, I just took the bike up to the car repair shop I use and one of the techs put it on. Took him only a few minutes. Sorry, can't help other than to say that once get it on you'll like it.

I assume you purchased and received the correct part for your Year and Model as they are supposedly not one size fits all. I put a Kaoko on mine and it fit perfectly and works great. The only issue I had was I didn't have a torx bit large enough in my kit and had to go out a buy one, I understand its the largest torx bolt on the these BMWs.

I'd recheck what size Kaoko you have. I put one on my GT about three years ago and it just slipped on. The only washer that came with mine was a fiber washer that fits on low boss on the Kaoko's face and goes between that and the rubber of the handlebar grip. It doesn't go into anything, you can see it between the end of the grip and the Kaoko unit when it's in place. It acts somewhat like a clutch adding friction between the end of the grip and the Kaoko unit. It takes a 55mm torx which was the next to largest torx in my tool box. 1/2" drive ratchet fitting though I use a 1/2 to 3/8" adapter.
