Found a great website for parts with pictures and prices.
I remember reading from a member that his seat would not open consistently. I mentioned that I found it hard to believe that there isn't a cable adjustment. As I look at the diagram of the cable assembly on this website, I can clearly SEE the adjustment (don't know where it resides on the scooter but, at least we know there IS one).

I don't know how to add a link so I will just add a picture (you'll have to type the website in manually).

I have used bike bandit for parts on other bikes that I own very good to deal with they had new old stock for a 89 Honda P C 800 that I owned at reasonable prices I have not used them for any BMW items and I don't know if they stock or deal in them.

I bought my Sport from Max BMW and they have been very nice to deal with. Although, they don't give anything away.

A good resource and a place to get parts info is;

http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/us/en...bmwmotorcycles.com/us/en/start.html&notrack=1

It has some interesting videos and articles, including a page with "breakdown Dictionary" in many languages.

Example; tubeless tire is "Pnevmatika Brez Zacnice" if you get a flat tire in Slovenia.
