More C600 windscreen choices than just GIVI...

I've got the aeromax tall for my c600. I like it as it helps with buffering since I'm 6 foot tall. However the only thing I don't like about it is that it is dark tinted (not see thru) on the bottom half of the screen and I feel like the tint blocks some of my view of the road if i look straight down over the bars just over the instrument cluster.
 
I'm thinking about changing windshields to this smaller version for around town, given that it stays around 100 degrees for months on end around here, and adding the deflector when I need the extra protection.image.webp
 
Too bad in AZ and southern Cal you need to worry about wind deflection. Here in NE Ohio, we ride bare chested and wait for the freeze to take over. After that, wind is not an issue.
 
I have some experience with the "Laminar Lip" windscreen accessory. It does improve wind noise and buffeting on the 2 bikes I've tried it on. Because I was looking for something a tad better and was transferable from bike windscreen to windscreen, I ordered this (MRA-Xcreen) clamp-on accessory yesterday. The amount of adjustment in height and angle really appealed to me as opposed to my "Laminar Lip" which basically has very little or no adjustment at all.

I had a Laminar Lip on my TMAX. It made a huge difference for a lot less money than a completely different windscreen. I also had one on my old Buell XB12Ss Lightning Long. It deflected enough wind that riding long periods on the highway didn't tire me out as much as riding without it. Not a bad investment if you're looking for an economical solution.
 
I've had my C600 for a day or so and done approx. 150 Miles so far.
The standard screen really sucks (or blows badly!) :D
The choice for the C600 seems quite small :(
I actually have a couple of screens lying around from previous bikes.
An MRA with the deflector fitted like the above photo and also a Givi Aeroflow off of my last bike.
I was going to sell them but I am tempted to drill the standard BMW screen and fit either the MRA deflector or the Givi Aeroflow deflector :)

Only the middle position seems to work for me on the stock screen. Low gives me to much wind and high creates some awesome buffeting around my helmet. One fella here bought the Wunderlicht deflector and seems happy. No tools required if you wish to not take the drill motor to your stock screen.

The highest setting creates a lot of helmet buffeting for me. Once I get to about 60mph, I feel like I'm in the ring with Floyd Mayweather.

The middle setting has similar helmet buffeting at 60mph but is exponentially louder as it directs the air right into the face of my helmet. Almost too loud.

The lowest setting creates little to no helmet buffeting for me, but the wind is hitting me directly on my chest so that is a little tiring, but will probably be fine as the temperature starts to rise here.


I have a slightly taller Ermax screen for the C600 and it doesn't work any better imho.
 
I had my screen at the highest setting to start off.
Tried it on the Middle setting today, but it was much worse for me (I'am 5' 10")
Didn't try it on the lowest setting, didn't see much point having all that wind in my face
Definitely need to sort the screen out, it's spoiling the scoot

I have one of these on my TMAX that will be coming with me to my C600. I bought the clamp on version for that reason. It's very adjustable, in and out and up and down, pretty much infinite. On the stock TMAX screen I was able to angle it so that the air hits right at the top of my helmet where the air intake is located. Pretty great actually.

For versatility, I also bought the clamp-on version; right now, I'm using it on my Vespa scooter. I really need to experiment with different heights and angles.
 
I contacted the Laminar Lip company and was told they didn't have a model for the 600 Sport. I put on the Givi , and find it does the job.
