Hello,

Just to introduce myself, I am PJBN from Paris (France not Kentucky).
I've been owning a c600 sport from 2014 since 2021 after my brother moved out of the country and the scooter was sleeping for a year (I felt bad for him). Before that I was riding an Honda CB500X, an Orcal Astor 125 (Chinese made retro only distributed in France, I believe) and a Suzuki Sixteen before I obtained my license.

I've never liked the idea of being "forced" to sell my moto for a sporty scooter that looks like a TMAX. In France they do not have such a good image but everytime I am on it I am happy. Very comfortable with a good tork.

The only problem I have is that when driving at a constant speed with the gaz handled opened lightly it gets very bumpy. So to keep a constant speed I need to open the gaz handle a bit more and decelerate. You get used to it but I've always found it annoying.
My brother told me that it was always like this and that BMW told him it was expected and part of the "rough" side of the engine.

I recently decided that I would get to the bottom of it to know if it was normal or not.

Thanks!

Not normal at all ... I can't imagine anyway. Tough to diagnose if the dealer found no trouble codes in the ECU. Have you tried running a bottle of injector cleaner through it? That would be my first try, after that I would check the idle air tubes, make sure there's no air leaks (anywhere). Bon chance! (currently in Haute Marne, near Langres).

Thanks for the reply Ceesie. I am not even sure they ran a diagnosis tool on the ECU... The behavior was always there since 2016 for a scooter from 2014 so I would agree with you that it's more likely to be ECU related or a materal part. Not sure cleaning the injector would help or that would mean they were always dirty.

I am going to another dealer in September and keep you updated.

Enjoy France!
