I'v had this issue since the bike went into the shop for the chain tensioner problem months ago. The oil senser
on the dash would read with the 3 dotted lines for about 10 minutes then go to ok. Yeah i know it sounds weird
but i have NOT had a issue with the oil being low at all. I just checked the OIL level for the first time since i had the 6 k service check. When i had the chain tensioner go out that's when the dealer said it was faulty n needed
to be replaced. So even if you have a faulty oil senser on dash that does not mean the oil is low

Sounds like they wanted to screw me out of more $$$$ that's NOT good at all, I will
remember this cuz IF i have the 12K service there i will state that the oil sensor that
you all tried to sell me was a LIE to get more $$$$$ out of me. Then google will send
me a message asking how was service done at Wild West Motorplex. I WILL give
them a BAD review

Oil sensor on this model is very sensible, I suggest you add a bit more than max and you will never be bothered with the check oil message in the dash. Sometimes I gives me the message if I leave the motorbike uphill

I did check it about 1 month ago n it has NOT used 1 drop of oil since they did the
Tensioner

Generally how often do folk need to check the oil on C400s. I am used to Hondas which basically do not use much oil if any between service intervals.
