Here is a photo of my new Russell Day Long seat on 17 650GT. Wonderful after 600 mile trip. OEM seat caused SBS= Sore Butt Syndrome after 75 miles.

What was this exact configuration you have here?

Not sure what you mean by configuration?

the Russell seat folks covered the seat in a Sunbrella fabric that I have on other BMW seats. You do not slip around like vinyl and it is cooler that a black vinyl seat. They permanently fixed the position of the back rest and raised the foam a little to give me a bit higher backrest . Works well for me

Did they re-use and not charge for the heating system or did you have to get a new one from them?

They kept the original heating system. Works fine
