Quick, inexpensive fix for American version rear turn signals

This quick fix was posted earlier on another subject thread regarding security and I wanted this to stand out for other American riders that want a quick fix solution to this obvious problem in another thread.

Another American member (Powell Kopp) of the International CE 04 Facebook Group came up with a brilliant inexpensive solution: use a thick zip tie like the ones you use on dryer vents and wrap it tight around the base of the rear turn signal unit that connects with the scooter’s license plate bracket. It reinforces the rear turn signal to make it more robust and not as easy to break. The member that came up with this solution said that he bumped it hard after this inexpensive quick fix, and it held nicely without breaking.

This might be the quick and easy fix we’ve all been waiting for!

I just ordered off Amazon. I actually had the right side break off. A new one was installed free of charge. Order arrives tomorrow. I had to use super glue until the new one arrived. My leg slightly hit it.
 
A quick and easy fix. The light comes with the wire. According to the mechanic at the dealer, he needs to dismount the wheel and get into the arm that goes to the lights to install it. I order it from the dealer in Fredericksburg, Virginia, overnight, And I will go tomorrow to get it installed. It’s going to be a half hour labor.

I bought the zip ties and have installed one on the light that has not broken.
 
So the final bill was $85.00, although, I think the next time they won't charge me 1/2 hour labor, may more like 1 hour. I have secured my signals with the easy fix and hope that they don't break again.
 
My tail lights went out a couple of weeks ago. I did not hit them but who knows if a curious onlooker bumped into it in a parking lot. It draws a lot of interest. They stick out and beg to be bumped. I had them replaced at the dealership today and the service guy asked me if I had a big dog. He said it's a common thing for a large pet to bump them. He said one was broken but I never noticed anything broken. Gonna zip tie my new lights immediately!
 
I find it hard to believe nobody has tried to re-route the rear indicators towards the back of the seat, from where the indicators are plugged in it certainly seems like it’s doable

I was honestly expecting the euro riders to have figured it out after breaking so many of them

Has anyone here tried it yet?
