Rear brake Pads

Evening All.

Whoever was the original owner of my 650GT obvs liked the rear brake as they need changing......after 4k miles......!

I ordered ferodo FBD2006ST as per ferodo site but my mechanic says they are too big...... Interestingly EBC different numbers front and back while ferodo list them as the same....... Anyone had this problem or got any suggestions? Originally I figured I had been sent the wrong ones but it seems not......unless as seems likely ferodo are wrong.

Could it be EBC uses Sintered up front and Organic in back?

Okay, here is the answer.

Fronts are an FA142. Dimensions are 102mm x 38mm x 9mm
Rears are an FA196. Dimensions are 102mm x 38mm x 9.8mm

Rear pads have THICKER material on them...

I take it you are looking at the rear brake caliper and not the parking brake? there isn't much meat on the parking brake pads but then they should'nt wear too much.

I'd be worried if I'd worn that little sucks out ha ha! Thanks fir the info.... Still a slight mystery if they are the same basic shape as the ferodos are 108mm......
