Yes, I have dutifully searched and read a few dozen posts about oil changes and found the very informative WebBikeWorld article on doing an oil change for the C650GT. In all the articles and posts there are many mentions or oil type, brands of filters, use of a screwdriver, etc. But nowhere could I find the info on what size the crush washer should be. The author of the Web Bike tutorial even says he *should* have measured the crush washer since there may be substitutes.
Anyone know the actual size or am I doomed to drive way out to a local BMW dealer? Interesting note. There are two dealers I called in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for a quote on an oil change. One in Hurst told me $335, which included the all important 'check' of my tire pressure and reset of dash messages. The other one in Plano said, $180 plus tax. Ended up ordering Motul and a K&N instead. Will give it a try once they arrive, which should be today. Since it is under 100F today, though it would be a good day to get under the scooter!
Just need that crush washer. And am I missing anything else needed? Bike now has closer to 4K on the clock.
Thanks in advance.
