Hi guys
I hear a squeaky noise from variator when i put the gas on the start. I didn’t know what was causing so i open and clean all the parts and noise got lost fo 1 hour and came back. I thought it was the belt so i put a new one from dayco belt. And the noise is again but far more less. I noticed that the clutch bell had some scratches on inside. Do they make the noise?

How many miles on the odo? It’s likely time to replace the clutch, before you also need a new bell.

I think you might want to check the clutch pads, replace with Dr.Pulleys HiT 302002 model clutch like I did. Mine was also shot at about 30000 km (19k miles) but it did not squeal, it just slipped sometimes, so torque was floating when I gave it gas. Dr.Pulleys does not slip at all as it locks mechanically, not only centrifugally. I am quite happy, (as long as you can be happy spending $$$) but it engages at slightly higher revs (1150) than the default (940) and it comes with 5 (!) spring sets NONE of them lower the rpms back to usual. That is the only omission on manufacturer's part. I wish they only included 3 spring sets - one installed like now, one lower (to original OEM) and one higher. Would have saved them the cost and given us more choice.
