Stock mirrors inadequate

I have them on all my vehicles! Love them!
 
I tried rectangular stick on's but didn't like them. Seemed too big. Then I tried the circle ones But then I thought I couldn't see very well and they were cheapos so I took them off. I think if I got some better quality I'd try them again. But where can you buy quality anything these days...?

At first the GT mirrors seemed poorly designed to me. I tried installing a pair of stick on round spot mirrors in the area that just showed my hands and arms but the fell off in the summer heat here (109F). For some reason now I don't have a problem with the mirrors, it may be that I've adjusted my arm positions or just got used to the mirrors but I have no problem looking behind the scoot now on either side. It could also be that I tend to ride with my arms pretty well straight ahead, I like to lean back a bit when riding so that might be some of the reason. Also this being warm weather the fact that I'm mostly wearing my mesh jacket without a liner helps a bit too. My winter gear has a lot thicker sleeves. All in all though after 6000 miles I'm satisfied with the OEM mirrors.
 
What I have done which seems to work quite well for me is to set one mirror wide (well normal) on the outside (we drive on the left in Malta, so I am avoiding reference to left and right) which is where I need to look to overtake.

The other mirror I have set so that I can see the top box and immediately behind and myself unfortunately.

I do have to pay more attention when moving from the outer lane into the inner lane but generally that is when I have overtaken a car and I am moving back in so I pretty much already know what there is there.

I've only put 3k Km on the BMW and my previous scooter had mirrors mounted on the handle bars which gave an excellent rear view so I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong here. So far it's working for me.

After around 1800 km on my C600 Sport I have no problems with the mirrors. They see well on either side of me. I added a small circle blind spot mirror to the left side and it works well. No issues with the mirrors at all. They don't vibrate. They don't move. And they provide a good field of vision for me.
