has this been a worth while purchase/needed item for charging while out and about or have you found that most place that have/offer charging that it was not needed OR did you need one and did not have one??? trying to justify the purchase and just have no idea what most smaller charging locations are offering to be able to charge this beast while eating or whatever here in the usa.... thanks
 
Away from home, I have only used my TeslaTap 3 times in 7500 miles - most recently on Saturday. I have never actually needed it though, it just happened to be that there was free charging along my route for Tesla’s only. I only carry charging adapters with me if I’m traveling 100 miles or more.
 
soooooooo just tried to call bmw motorrad usa and AGAIN spent 30+ min getting the run around with no success!!!!!!!!! the first gal in cust support did not even know what a ce04 was, the second gal thought it was a car and was trying to get me to the auto side, had to explain over and over it is a bike side product...... all they hear is EV and assume it is an auto...... so the last gal i got got an ear full from me and i when she said she would try to answer my questions but if she could not then she would try to get the answer from the "field team tech", told her lets quit wasting time and just get me through to those folks/dept and let me ask them direct, she said that was not possible, told her i did not need a go-between person and this whole process is a joke and embarrassing for the motorrad dept as a whole!!!!!!!
problem today with all the multi brand dealers who are selling this model DO NOT have qualified techs and these field folks are there contact for assistance/guidance, yet the customer is banned from speaking to them, its very frustrating to say the least and is enough of a reason for me to stop the order process as it would only get worse in the future for me!!!!
the kicker to this horror story IS, if i call and give them my vin for my GS i get through to a "specialist" who can assist with ANYTHING related to that model, but not so with these EV models, even with a vin they do not have such a department, WTF is going on with BMW..... i'm done with this side of the house, GAS it is for me!!! good luck to y'all
