Yes, that only showed up when I selected English as my preferred language and enabled the French auto-captured subtitles.
Not very user-friendly, I must say.
But as predicted, they kept a possible release date to themselves.

In the video the C1 was consistently referred as a commercial flop. I considered buying one when I moved to Geneva, as they were available, but decided against it due to the low power to weight ratio. I did find it uber cool though.

CE stands for “Corporate Executive” ?
They do commute like that in Europe. Even the Danish king uses public transport or bicycle. This beemer is a better deal for sure.
I have seen the original CE back in 2008 parked on a strasse in Munich. Then a suited gentleman in shiny shoes came out of a cafe and rode away. Nice to do so even in a rain, your tie nor your shoulders get wet and you still be there quicker because you can split lanes.

The name "CE 04" is composed as follows:
  • "C" = stands for scooter and is a sign of a highly innovative and very unusual vehicle concept.
  • "E" = stands for the electric drive.
  • "04" = indicates the power segment that is comparable to a 400-cc combustion engine in terms of power and performance.

The original (built 2000-2003) was called "C1". It did actually have really decent weather protection, especially with the optional acryl side shields, but you still got your elbows a bit wet in a downpour and had some spray flying around the inside. Of course, designer leather shoes are not the best footwear in any kind of wet weather anyway. I'm not sure the CE Vision will provide that same high level of weather protection since it's designed to be a lot more "airy" and doesn't have a front windshield (the C1 had a glass windshield with a wiper), it looks like they're going to offer a higher windshield (and a roof), but it also looks like it'll be a plastic one and you'll still look over it since I doubt they'll include a wiper. So likely not as weatherproof as the C1 was. It might help with windchill in colder weather, though.

I found that the best aspects of my C1 were 1) the ability to ride in normal work clothes (I didn't even have an opportunity to change at work at the time), 2) the ability to park almost anywhere (as with any scooter) and 3) the ability to split/filter lanes (also possible with any other scooter). But 1) really was the killer feature, besides the weather protection.
