I just read about this outfit recently. The thing that caught my eye was the "Non-sportbike Days" where you can pretty much ride anything on the track and practice your skills. I'm SERIOUSLY considering putting the C650GT on the track this summer!

Near seattle they have open track days as well.

They have days when you can ride both; hell, rent a hardly davidson and take it out....

Is that slang like "hip waders" aka coast guard. Or just plain "target" regular navy.
Im a bubblehead myself, submariner to others.... the best marine there is...

I was told by Navy guys ( who couldn't get into the Coast Guard) that it was a Navy term for the CG.

The Tenor in my one of my old quartets was a retired submariner. He would tell us that "100 men would leave on deployment and 50 couples would return"...he had GREAT stories..

Back in 1990 when I was first certified as an MSF INSTRUCTOR (not a "RiderCoach") one of our Chief Instructors was a former submariner, and one of the other instructor candidates was also a former submariner. At the time, the latter was one of the guide/guards at the U.S.S. Nautilus in Connecticut.

The Chief was "George," the IC was "Spencer." The two of them would occasionally crack one quip or other that would make the other crack up. When the rest of the class would stare, the response was: "We could tell you, but then we'd have to kill you."

Another line George used a lot was "I spent ten years of my life in a submarine. I don't have to explain what I'm thinking." Or "I spent ten years of my life in a submarine. That explains EVERYTHING."

In addition to lap times, speeds, etc, it would be great to see a video of one of the UMVs in action. The OEM tires or ?

We are everywhere and most don't know it. but considering 95% of the submarine community passes thru rotton Groton, its no surprise there are a few living there. Yes we have a secret language, and two dialects (Diesel and Nuculear) I am fortunate to speak both. I doubt there are any Diesel boat guys left in active duty.
nest time tell them to rig for silent running. that should quiet them down.
