I’m thinking of putting a Carpuride system on my C400GT. I know there is a plug under the handle bar cover somewhere that has 3 leads. I know 2 are used to power the unit, what is the 3rd one for? What I’m wondering is can you adjust the volume with the wonderwheel still if using the Carpuride. I like that you can when phone is hooked to the bike itself.
Still trying to decide between that or just Quad Lock and put phone on a mirror mount and go thru the bike and use maps on phone.

That's a very complicated issue.
When I was figuring out the leads, when I was hooking up my Skene Photon Boosters up front, I quickly measured that third prong, and as I
vaguely recall I think it was 8V; I was really paying much attention at the time, as I had already determined the ground and 12V leads -- see my diagram

I went to a XT on my GS. You only use the #1 and #3 if I remember correctly. I don't know what the other socket you're showing is for. On the GS the #2 was for the info from the bike to the GPS. Again, double check before you connect everything.
So who knows, especially with respect to our scooters. Most of the folks with satnav prep are the GS and RT riders.
I think your best bet, your most likely possibility of getting your question answered (correctly) is to have an email chat with someone at Carpuride.

Unfortunately, when I click on the box labeled CHECK MOTORBIKE COMPATIBILITY on that page, nothing happens (in any of the browsers that I use). If another page were to pop up, my guess is that the scooters would not be listed, anyway.
Mount:
Regarding "just Quad Lock and put phone on a mirror mount," I encourage you to look into that shelf I put on my bike. It's nice and high, doesn't obscure the TFT, and, unlike using a mirror stem, it's centered. (And, of course, going back about a decade now, I've added external, i.e., outside-dash-mounted, USB ports to a couple of scooters and a bagger.)
