What adapter and app needed to reset oil change/other alerts

I’m buying a new C 400 GT in the next few month’s. I do all my own maintenance and repairs. I live 150 mile from the selling dealer. I would like to reset the oil change light/memo when that time comes. I have a high end OBD scanner for automotive use. Can I buy an adapter that will work on the C 400 GT ? If not what do I need to purchase. Also I have heard something about an app that works in/with a scanner or other device. Thank you for any suggestions, help, tips.

Ok I managed to search a thread elsewhere on this forum that shows a Bluetooth OBD tool from Amazon. Can I do the same with my automotive scanner ? Will mine/ it hook up ?Is there any particular app I need? thanks again for any replies.

There may be other ways, like GS911, but my preferred method has been the OBDLink LX and the Motoscan app. This has worked great on all the Beemers I've had so far.

Check on the Motoscan website whether their app covers the 400. I use it for my C650 and it works a treat and is very cost-efficient. You need a compatible dongle to plug into the OBD-II port, Motoscan suggests several options. Your automotive scanner won't work (I have a Topdon Phoenix Lite for my cars).

No need to check with Motoscan, I've already reset my service reminder using it.

Thought I would post this here as I did in the other thread on resetting the service reminder. It's actually for the bigger bikes but I assume it is the same procedure on the scooters..
