Wunderlich or Kaoko ?

Anyone have opinion and/or experience with these on the GT with heated grips?
This will be my second accessory purchase after the excellent handlebar bag by Kathy's designs.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
 
I'm still deciding. The Wunderlich has a very cool blue ring. Kind of matches the BMW emblem and it's about 35$ cheaper. But there seems to be more use of the Kaoko. Hmmmm
 
Kaoko here. Works well. Don't know if it is better/worse than any other brand as I have no experience with any other brand/type (other than homemade versions that didn't really work to well).

My GT has them and they are well worth getting, whatever they cost you. I am in Iowa and riding in the cool and cold killer on hands. Sorry, I don't know who is best to get them from... But get them!!
 
I've had both Throttlemeister and Kaoko. Overall I prefer the Kaoko because it's easier to use with gloves on. The Throttlemeister is smooth which means it takes a good grip to use it. The Kaoko's cogged shape makes it easy to turn bare handed or with gloves. You can just slide your hand over it to roll it on and off. Neither brand has given me a problem with heated grips.
 
IMO, Throttlemeister looks much better than the kaeko. Functionality I'm not sure there is much difference.

But, my "fly by wire" cruise on my Chieftain is best of all...:p
 
The pictures are of the left and right side. The Wunderlich sends you a throttle lock, blue bolts, and a bar end weight for left side. Total price is $119. About $30 less than Kaoko and I like the blue anodized aluminum ring and the matching left side too. Works great and installation took less than 5 minutes for both sides. Highly recommended.
 
I installed the Kaoko throttle lock on my scoot a couple days ago. Super easy to install and work just as described.

Is it fairly easy to set the throttle lock on both of these brands? Seems like it would be a real pain as they are on the right side of the bar. I checked youtube but couldn't find any videos of actual use. I currently have the Brakeaway on my Forza and you use your thumb to activate it as it sits on the left side of the throttle (which to me makes much more sense).

It's super easy and intuitive. I basically leave it 99% tightened and simply roll it the remaining 1/4" to "lock" it. The benefit of the Kaoko is that you can still twist the throttle to fine-tune to speed when the Kaoko is engaged.
