First off, is that a pic of your new bike? I can't really tell from the pic where it is, either.
Second, if you're curious, note that I have added a BMW/Powerlet/DIN/Hella/Victory/John Deere outlet to ALL of my bikes since 2007, including both my former and current C 400 GTs (despite the fact that at least some of the C 400 years and models -- perhaps all of them -- include such a socket inside the right cubby).
I've added all of these under the left thigh, to use for: heated gear hook-ups; smart-chargers in the garage; and 12V air compressors carried on the bikes. These have all been directly connected to the battery on each bike, with 14- or 16-gauge wire, with the hot side fused at 15 amps. I have pics of all of these sockets on the various bikes (and a pic of my homemade cord) in this post from last September:
Excellent write up Bill, thanks!

Thanks for the kind words.
For anyone interested in completeness, here are pics of this mod I've made on bikes, in order, from 2007 - present:
And here's the same coiled cord I've been using for heated gear for 16 or 17 years now:
I also have a couple of cords for the smart-chargers I have in my garage (as you can see in three of the pics). There are a few smart-chargers that use proprietary connectors, but most smart-chargers come with a long stock cord...
In terms of smart-charger use, this circumvents any and all CANbus issues, which I can't be bothered with. But that's me. I have detailed instructions on how I did this on the C 400 GT in my gallery, starting with this particular caption and image (and continuing on for the next 14 images):
