Maybe I got lucky, but I haven't had a single issue with mine.
Give me a reliable, relative recall free BMW and I'd be happy.

Everything should last longer. The HIT Clutch and Sliders might NEVER need to be replaced in the life of your bike, they wear that little!
People have taken them out to inspect with a belt change thousands of miles later and found essentially NO WEAR.
Here it is, on the Spanish BMW Forum, with comments and pictures:

TEST #1: he tried it with the stock clutch and contrast spring and the Mallossi variator with the 24gm rollers. (comes with TWO sets; 22gm and 24gm) It ran 300rpm higher across the board, clutch bumped a bit at about 30kph when it fully engaged, had a bit more power off the line, and a bit better acceleration and passing. Can't hit engine cut-out speed at top speed...
TEST #2: changed-out the contrast spring. Almost imperceptible difference from stock...
TEST #3: MIXED 22gm/24gm rollers 50/50. same off the line improvement as 24gms, NO MORE clutch bump, runs 500rpm higher, engine cutout hits at 192kph on level ground...but takes a LOT of ground!!! he called this "the most balanced configuration"
TEST #4: used ALL 22gm rollers. Basically hauls BUTT across the board; better off the line and everywhere else. Clutch is the smoothest, hits 7,000rpm quicker and the ignition cutout hits at 187kph. And you get there quicker!
And you would go with...?
(Or, just put in Dr. Pulley Sliders, get the same effect for 1/4 the cost, and they last 10 times longer...just sayin'..)
Question (not being a wise-ass): If I am happy with my bikes performance why would I want to add new sliders? I've been reading about these things from guys that know stuff, and am thinking about taking the bike in to my dealer and having the changes made, but in all honesty, I really like they way my C650GT runs now.
Or is all this part of that rowdy C600 crowd shenanigans that deal with "speed and more speed"?
I'm all smile from ear to ear now! e Dr Pulley sliders really transform my bike into a playful scooter now and anything above 50km/h seems very quick...! I'm loving it! Thanks to all those who have answered my queries and thanks Skutor!
Did you have the dealer do the mod or did you diy. If the dealer may I ask how much?
Which dealer Aurora or Sills?
Interesting info. I'm up for my 12k service. My question is this. As someone who rides more long distance touring type rides, what is the benefit of this mod? It seems like I'd want less RPM at high speed no?
Shouldn't lose ANY top end; in fact might gain a bit as the Sliding Pulley WEDGE geometry gives you a bit of over-range at high speeds and actually can DROP the RPMs a bit...
