My older 220cc scooter didn't like running high in the rpm range for extended periods of time as I think that's what made the CVT belt let go at 1800 miles.
However what we have here in the BMW is something a little more beefy.. I'm planning a 4 hour trip with a passenger and wonder how the CVT belt will enjoy that at probably 70-75mph for sustained periods of time?
I have no issues with the engine being run at higher rpms for long periods of time as its pretty much designed for that, and well, its not made of rubber, lol..
The CVT belt is my only potential worry spot... The scooter calls for CVT belt replacement at I think roughly 12000 miles. Any idea what belts cost?
What do you guys think? Have any of you done anything like this with your C series?
