24k Service Coming Up - Anyone Get It Done Yet?

Hey All,

I have my 24k mile service coming up. I'm at 23500+ now, and more than likely scheduling the service for early August.

I was wondering if anyone had their 24k service done. If so, what service was done on the bike, and how much did it cost.

I wanted to get an idea of what I need budget...

I have not had it done yet but one thing they will do is adjust your valves, check your rear drive chain and adjust it, maybe replace the drive belt and rollers and change the oil.

If you can ask them a day or two before and strip off as much plastic as you can. When I did my belt and dr. Pulleys a few weeks ago the plastic removal and replacement took longer than the belt and rollers (dr. Pulleys)

Belt about $275 rollers $150 valve adjustment $150 chain $100 or adjuster $30 oil change $125 Labour $1,000,000 these numbers are only guesses.

Mine's scheduled for next week. They're only doing the valves, spark plugs, and air filter because I just had the chain replaced and do the belt/rollers myself. The estimate is around $460. I'm also delivering it to them with most of the plastics removed to save 1+ hours of labor.

Just curious, can you guys give me an idea of when your brake pads needed replacing. Obviously, I know each rider uses the brakes differently but just curious as to how many miles you got out of your pads?

I had brakes done at 15k miles so probably do again soon (29k miles).
