With the barkbuster can you use the original BMW bar end weights or can you change the right one to a koako throttle lock or one of the other throttle locks.
What is the height and length of these units

I used the originals, not sure about Koako I'm not familiar with it. Unit is 10 1/2 by 6 inches

Interesting accessory, but since I don't plan on taking my scooter off road, I think I'll save my money on this one. ;-)

I had a set of GS hand guards on my K75T back in the 80's and 90's. I found them great for the extra wind protection in colder weather and rain protection.

Now to find them in Canada

I have now found the barkbusters here in Canada (cheaper here than on twisted throttles website) but before I purchase them my concern is if I have the wind screen at its lowest point will the guards interfere with it at the full lock position?

Ok here is the last 2 questions for you. The bar end weights that came with the barkbuster, would you be able to tell me the diameter and length of them. As for the mirrors, when sitting on the scooter and looking in the mirrors is the view obstructed at all due to the size of the barkbuster height.

I have found the barkbuster but they are special order. I have no problem with modifying bar end weights or the length of the aluminum bars. I just do not want to have the dealer order them in and find the view is obstructed, I can return them but i also want to be fair with the dealer.

I think the BarkBuster will interfere at the lowest position, I'll check later. I used the original bar weights not the ones they sent. BarkBuster didn't interfere with the mirrors

I think I will install them but use them seasonally. I will admit they are great for the cold wet weather.
Who knows maybe they will end up on all year as the bottom 1/4 your hands are viewed anyways.

Just finished installing my barkbuster S7's. When I installed them I went one step further as I cut about 3/4 of an inch off the ends of the aluminum bar and used the caps that were supplied in the package. It just gives it a clean look. When doing this you will need a 12mm bolt 90mm long with a thread pitch of 1.5mm.
Without the caps you would need a bolt 80mm long.

For cold weather riding, I use these.
http://www.amazon.com/Kwik-Tek-ScootR-Logic-Mitts/dp/B002887TWE
They just wrap around with velcro, so no drilling.
I use a cheap pair of leather Thinsulate gloves while riding in the winter. The mitts take care of the wind for you, so you just need a little protection from the cold air itself. I can't even use the heated grips on the second setting when I'm using those mitts. Keeps me from needing bulky, cumbersome gloves, and you can still reach all of the controls (even though you can't see them).

Ordered Wunderlich of America Clear Plastic Guards. They look like they fit out of the box, unreasonable price but they look as if they will need no modification to fit properly. I hate anything that is not made for the bike and will need, well you know engineering.

Will post what I find.

Got the Wunderlich plastic guards put them on today. Not a bad install, the instructions are pictures so even I could do it. Two things, the grommets that fit the plastic guard to the mount are a little tough to get started. Found if you install all 3 at the same time then tighten it works better. Small bracket that goes on the bottom of the main mount and the brake bolt, never could get them to line up and you could not get the nut on the bottom. You do not really need it the main mount is very sturdy. A word of caution I would not tighten the U clamp that hold the main bracket to the bars only tight enough so the bracket will not turn.

Did not take pictures the pictures from Wunderlich show more than I could.

When riding they work good keeping the air off your hands, I would assume bugs and rain also. Best part you can see through them so they don't interfere with your rear view mirrors.

Updates on any of these? I looked at the Wunderlich site, couldn't find them for the C600; they had these for $85 Handle Bar Muffs C600 Sport 8110360 | BMW Wunderlich America

Also, on twisted throttle they had a similar product for $50 Oxford Handlebar Muffs for Motorcycles - TwistedThrottle.com

But the previous ones listed from Amazon were even cheaper at $18 Amazon.com : ScootR Logic SLHM-1 Hand Mitts (Pair) : Bike Panniers And Rack Trunks : Sports & Outdoors

I will say this, the Wunderlich pair have a clear inside so you can see the controls; worth the extra? Like anything, it's only worth it when you need it.
