C600 Won't Start- Electrical!

Hi

At first the light switch that changes the front light riding mode went kaput and then about three months later it decided not to start, no click, engine turning over- nothing! But now the light switch works!!

It's going in on Thursday to the professionals..... But any advice to get it started appreciated otherwise I'll be pushing it 2km to the garage- it's currently abandoned in a car park.

2012 Sportline model, heated grips and seats, 4000 mile, one cheesed off owner..

Check the sidestand switch. This happened to me a couple of years back and it had backed out enough so that the computer thought the sidestand was deployed even though it was retracted. Fixed under warranty, but a PITA nonetheless.

I think there was a recall on this item, actually... same symptom but a different reason. The recall had something to do with the switch not being properly protected from water, so if you rode in bad weather, it could get corroded causing the same malfunction.

Flex case down? Not an insult, just going over possibilities.

+1 sidestand switch. It was coming apart and became separated so the kickstand movement no longer actuated it. That led to the whole assembly being replaced for me. At the time, I got down and was able to physically move the mechanism so it would start.
