C650 Sport: They fixed the C600 Sport!

I've had a new C650 Sport on loan for two days now while my 2014 C600 is in for repairs (about which more later).
The difference in the way it gets off the line is amazing - no more screaming revs and nothing much happening, it just shoots off immediately.
Is this a design change or is there something wrong with mine??

Apart from the cosmetic changes (which make it uglier in my view) the only notable change is that the centre stand is much easier to use.
Also the fancy new exhaust sticks out further, so you're more likely to scratch it on something.

Supposedly they changed the clutch and rollers. I am curious to know if it performs any better. My biggest gripe is the throttle lag (and lack of cruise control). If it is a new clutch/rollers I wonder if they are interchangeable with the previous model.

Guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What I don't like about the C600 is the huge upper fairing and thin lower fairing. It makes the upper fairing look dis-proportionally large. You are the first person that I've read that prefers the C600's looks.
I'm no fan of the C600's front end either, just think it's less ugly than the new one.
It might be that orange colour that's putting me off. There was a black one at my dealer yesterday which wasn't so bad.

My C600 is much improved since I persuaded them there was something wrong with the transmission. After an extended run in city traffic it would develop a low frequency shaking at idle (about 2 cycles per second). Seemed to be that the clutch was engaging a tiny bit. It would even propel itself forward slowly if I stood off it.

Apart from that it was always slow off the line, I'd have to give it loads of revs to get away at a decent pace - I thought that was normal for a C600 though, given all the complaints made about its performance.

They took the transmission apart and could find nothing wrong. Perhaps crucially though they cleaned everything up before reassembling it
I haven't had a chance to see if the shaking's been cured but it's much better moving off from rest now. Not C650 Sport good, but much improved all the same.

So in summary I went in there complaining about one thing and they fixed something else that I thought was an inherent design problem!
