Can't wait to ride

Update on new scoot.
Still no repair parts for 2015gt on floor. However they made me a great deal on 2016 coming from New Jersey next week. Apparently the 2016's have had the brake hose mod completed. After seeing the slight updates for the 2016 I think it will work out great. Pretty excited here!

SLIGHT? They basically fixed the worst problems that they had!:

1) slow engagement off the line
2) torque curve too high-RPM biased, again killing it from a start
3) revised clutch engagement settings
4) revised gearing
5) revised variator
6) improved fit & finish
7) replacement of cheap-looking plastic covers with classier, glossy-finished ones
8) more integrated and elegant bodywork, especially from the front (most noticeable on the C650 Sport)
9) redesigned muffler with a better in-line cat, eliminating that heat shield rattle and improving both the LOOKS and SOUND
10) all-upgraded warranty/recalled parts, switches, seals, hoses, etc.
11) new CPU mapping with cleaner emissions and better mileage
12) 10% softer springs and revised strut settings for a better ride

As European riders of C600's and C650's have recently said, THIS is what should have arrived originally, to take on the Tmax and Burman 650. The low and decreasing sales figures and market share in Europe would have been a different story.

(Putting it another way, I'm getting an appointment for a test ride, preferably of a C650 Sport. I'm finally tempted by something approaching the sophistication and cohesive engineering & design of what I'm now riding...)

GET the 2016!!!

Oh, I forgot to add fly-by-wire electronic throttle. No more cable.
(they probably did that to be able to flash the ECU to A2 specs with reduced power for the EU market...)

2016 Sport is $10,095, the GT is $10,595.
Metallic paints are +$100
Low seat w/heated grips & TPS is +$455
Premium Package w/heated seat & grips 7 TPS is +$600.

So, it's from $10,095.00 for a stock White Sport, to $11,295.00 for a loaded Metallic GT.

In THIS Zip, KBB trade-in prices for the 2013 Sport & GT are $4,825.00 & $5,100.00 respectively...

So if you got the higher trade for your bike $6000 doesn't seem all that bad for a brand new bike with all of the inprovements made and zero milage plus a new 3 year warranty, worth thinking about.

Just saw the pricing for the 2016 TMAX. Once again, in the same ballpark as the C650GT, but WITHOUT ABS. It is also more expensive than the C650 Sport. Don't know WHAT Yamaha is thinking...

It's almost like they WANT the scooter to fail in North America. By the way, the 500cc Piaggio MP3 is back in the US with ABS for an MSRP of under $9K.
