Clutch replaced

Hi all

Just had my clutch replaced under warranty at 3000 miles as it started slipping. Also it had a slipping grinding noise along with vibration through the handlebars when setting off.
Anybody else had this issue?
Also when I first got the bike back, it felt significantly smoother when pulling away. However a day or so later, the slight vibration through the handlebars when I first set off, has returned. Most likely take it back to be checked again. Any thoughts?

Thanks

In my case, the seal behind the clutch started leaking allowing fluid through. The belt and clutch were both covered in fluid so I got a new belt and sliders for free too. I'm not going to hazard a guess as to why you're feeling that vibration again. If it's still under warranty, take it back and have them check it again.

Take it back, you can't diagnose vibrations over the internet. With that said, the chances of it having NO vibration is slim.So it is best that someone( a mechanic) with experience with these bikes, feel the vibration to tell whether it is a normal vibration or a problem.

Hi,
I have exactly the same problem.
Do you got to solve this issue? If so, how?

Short term solution (on THEIR dime) is the same BMW OEM clutch replaced under warranty. Permanent solution is a Dr. Pulley HIT (High Initial Thrust) Clutch. It's the best cure out there, world-wide.

Hey skutorr, have you seen or read reports of the HIT clutch causing problems? I know many are using sliders but can't find too many that are using the HIT clutch. Seems I find one or two saying it's great and one or two saying it has caused many problems. Granted, I don't spend too much time looking. Just curious.

I'm following the Spanish and Italian BMW C-series forums, and the Dr. Pulley HIT clutch is THE go-to solution. To keep their customers happy, some Italian BMW dealers, who already replaced the clutch under warranty, put in a Dr. Pulley to finally fix it right, after the new OEM clutch had the same symptoms as the old, sometimes within days of replacement. Now THAT'S Customer Service!

(...and for the Aprilia SRV 850 and Silverwing 600 in Europe, it's also the Dr. Pulley HIT clutch...)

The noise has come back again. I had them look at it again and they explained to me to do another 500 miles or so and the new clutch would settle down. Because the noise has come back, I have it booked in again and they have asked to keep it for a couple of days for the master tech to do some longer road tests.

We shall see after that I guess.

Just had a call from Motorrad service. They have ordered another clutch assembly and and what he described as 'replacement bearings'. Two days to get from Germany.
Hope this will finally fix it.

I had it on my 2014 C600 Sport. Some kind of grinding noise that came when I was accelerating from a stop. I was advised by our distributor to ride the bike harder, or put it under load to wear the clutch in evenly. Though it did seem to 'help' because I don't hear the grinding so often now, but I also figured that with all the noise the engine is making, I probably couldn't hear it anyways. =/

I've been considering the 'upgrade' to the Dr Pulley HIT clutch, but our local distributor would definitely void my warranty if I did so. So i'm biding my time till the warranty expires. =(
