I got them (after I dropped it the first time... of course!) and then I dropped it once more and the ones on the edge of the fairing got scratched. They're definitely good for some falls. We did find out, disappointingly, that the newer sets don't have the add on piece for the back (sorry, I don't know technical terms). It comes with the fairing edges, the pieces for the floorboards, and the little "bumpout" type thing that affixes to the front sides. Just not the same "bumpouts" for the back.

Someone on one of the sites bought the fronts guards and mounted them to the rear backwards and it looked good
