Energy recovery restricted....

Woke up to this dash alert after charging (10A, 120V AC). Per the manual it refers to "energy recovery restricted" indicating to drive to nearest specialist workshop. Holidays make this inconvenient.

Any thoughts on how to cycle through a reset to attempt correction?

Thanks,

Hey Felipearango!

I don't know if the manual is very precise here - this warning will come up whenever you charge the bike to 100%. This is the scooter's way of letting you know that the regenerative braking won't occur because there isn't enough room on the battery to charge, so you may need to use your brakes more than usual when stopping rather than relying on the regen to kick in. I don't know precisely what battery % this warning light triggers at, but in my Tesla it occurs when you charge over 95%. Go and ride your bike for a couple of miles so that there is enough extra capacity to regenerate into and the warning light should disappear!

I would only be worried if I saw this light and the bike had less than 90% of charge.

I got the symbol today and the yellow limiter bar on the regen gauge. This followed a 30A charge starting at 30% and ending at 45%. The air temperature was about 6 or 7˚C and I was in Eco mode. The yellow stuff didn't persist for long, maybe for half a mile, and there did appear some regenerative braking going on so I wasn't particularly concerned but it does seem a bit random.

Hello just joined here and hopefully found my answer. I had my CE 04 delivered today, connected hemet and phone etc so it has been started and literally has been moved 5m from the delivery van into parking bay. Decided to fully charge this afternoon and upon unplugging at 100%, I got "e-drive fault - see a specialist" (amber turtle light) I didn't have any warnings at 80%+ on delibery. I'm going for first ride tomorrow so will check in here later to see confirm if light goes out (hopefully).
